We have in stock over 200 items such as gloves, fleece, blood fish and bone, compost, Growmore, netting, string and bean poles. We will also order your potatoes for you. All our prices are competitive. You will be served by fellow gardeners, so please come and pay us a visit.
D T BROWN SEED CATALOGUE
The second order has now been sent. We expect to have to seeds ready for collection after Christmas. Please remember the hut will not be open on the 22nd and 29th of December.
We have taken orders for seeds worth £2007.59. Thank-you for your support.
The Seed Potato Order Forms are now available at the Trading Store. Order now to get the variety you want, ready for delivery January/February.
We intend to stock the following varieties:
- Earlies: Abbot, Casablanca, Foremost, Lady Christl, Maris Bard, Red Duke of York and Rocket
- Second Earlies: Kestrel
- Main crop: Cara, Desiree, Vales Sovereign, Maris Piper and Valor
- Salad/2nd early: Charlotte
Our prices are again very reasonable and the same as last year: all are priced the same: for example, 3kg for £3.20 or 1/2kg for 65p. You can order any quantity you wish.
We can only stock a limited amount of each variety: so that you are not disappointed, get your orders in as soon as possible! This will also help us – if we sell out of a particular variety, we may be able to re-order.
PS: we have already sold out of Jazzy and Wilja.
We also intend to ‘trial’ 1 new variety: 'Maxine', an early maincrop, very suited for exhibition, with round tubers, red skins and waxy white flesh. A heavy cropper.
These will be available in ½ kg packets, selling at 65p.

Garlic bulbs are now available at the store. The following varieties are in stock: Provence Wight, Early Purple Wight, Solent Wight, Mersley Wight and, new for us, Elephant garlic.
